Chili Chow Down

FMC has always had a great love for sharing food. Before the pandemic, FMC had a tradition of a chili cook-off and auction to help our youth group raise money. Since the pandemic, that tradition has not returned, but the church family still loves its chili. The Church Life commission organized a “chili chow down”, asking attendees to prepare and bring their favorite variety of chili. This covered everything from traditional to white, Indian and VERY hot, to some with pasta. To add to the delicious meal, the youth of the congregation spent the worship service baking cornbread and desserts to go along with the delicious chili. Great food and conversation followed.
