Get Involved with Faith Formation

Faith formation is one of the ways we nurture the spiritual growth of our children and youth. Every Sunday, volunteers help create safe, welcoming spaces where young people can learn, ask questions, build relationships, and grow in faith.

Sunday School Classes for our Youth

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Sunday School Teachers and Helpers – Lead or assist with a prepared lesson and help guide children and youth in faith formation. Our goal is to build volunteer teams so that no one serves every Sunday. With four volunteers in a classroom, a typical month might include serving as a teacher once, helping once, and having two Sundays off. Curriculum and materials are provided.

  • Substitute Teacher – Be available to step in when a teacher or helper is unable to serve.

  • JYF Sponsor (Grades 6–8) – Build relationships with middle school youth through monthly activities and events.

  • MYF Sponsor (Grades 9–12) – Build relationships with high school youth through monthly activities, events, and mentorship.

  • Curriculum Work Days – Help prepare materials and organize classrooms. Work days are held 3–6 times throughout the year.

  • Nursery Updates & Care – Help refresh and maintain our nursery through cleaning, organizing, and updating toys and furnishings.
