Listening again today to the June17th sermon deepened my grasp and comprehension. In thinking about the term “lens”, I was struggling. After re-hearing the sermon, I substituted the words ” intent” which is deliberate, and “bias”, which is knee-jerk. This is freeing to me; somehow I am able to be more trusting. Bias isn’t the right word, but explains automatic or inherent framing of thoughts and reactions. Intent isn’t big enough, nor is focus. All this agonizing over semantics? This is serious for me. Sorry! Linda
